The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program is in need of volunteers who would be interested in helping hummingbirds by providing services. If you have a skill set that isn’t listed below, but you think would be helpful to the program we would be very happy to hear from you!! - Writer
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would be grateful for a volunteer or intern to write newsletters, website content, promotion and publicity materials, fliers, postcard copy, educational materials, and assist with banding session summaries. - Reference Expert
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would be thankful to find a volunteer with organizing skills to manage and maintain hummingbird-related published papers in EndNote, and help to develop a section on our web page with a web based search tool for references. - Programmer
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would gratefully accept a volunteer or intern programmer with SQL database programming experience who can help with database management and web interfaces for our banding, sample, and photographic image databases. - Data Manager
Data entry is an important component of collecting hummingbird samples. A person who would be willing to donate time to enter data would be gratefully appreciated. - Educational Specialist
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would be thankful for an educator who would be willing to donate time to help us develop an exciting K-12 hummingbird based curriculum. - Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would gratefully appreciate a volunteer electrical or mechanical engineer to develop RFID technology and radio telemetry methods for tracking hummingbirds. - Software Engineer
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would be thankful for a volunteer software engineer who would be willing to help develop mobile device interfaces to record hummingbird data in the field. - Imaging Specialist
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would gratefully accept a volunteer who is experienced in automated pattern recognition, which would enable us to assess new and revisiting birds at the feeder. - Materials Engineer
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program is in need of a specialized, optimal hummingbird feeder, and we would be grateful for a volunteer materials engineer to help us develop a feeder specific to our program needs. - Taxidermist
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would be grateful for an experienced taxidermist who would be willing to volunteer time to help prepare hummingbird skin specimens for teaching purposes - Art Illustrator
The Hummingbird Health and Conservation Program would be delighted and grateful for an avian art illustrator who would be willing to donate time to develop artwork to promote the program.
